The name Getika is a reference to one of the most famous ancient Thracian tribes known for their winemaking skills, who called their territory in this part of Bulgaria “Getika”.

40% Merlot, 27% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Early Melnik, 9% Syrah, and 7% Petit Verdot.


Tasting Notes

A classical-inspired blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, enriched by the powerful aroma and characteristic color of the unique Bulgarian grape variety Early Melnik. It has an attractive nose of blackcurrant, vanilla, cassis, and dark chocolate, with great textured tannins and creamy acidity.

Winemaking

Training style Cordon de Royat guaranteeing low yield.  Produced from handpicked organic grapes, macerated for 7 days and fermented whole-berry (uncrushed). Aged 6 months in French barriques. Unfiltered.
